May 18, 2011: The Somali Ministry for Sport & Youth have appointed Mr Bana Ali a high profile position as especial advisor to the Minister of sport for international relations.

We are delighted to have recruited someone of Bana Ali’s background, ability and experience. The Ministry for Sport , Youth & Labor look forward to working with Mr Ali to ensure that the Somali Sports to prosper” Said the Minister of sport Mr Abdinur Moalim.

The former Somali Basketball’s Secretary General Mr Bana Ali said “ I am extremely honoured and delighted to have been appointed as an advisor to the Somali Minister , it is a challenging position which will involve more responsibility, but I am looking forward to getting started in the role”. I am sill head of Marketing Council of Zone V for Fiba Africa and this is also an opportunity for me to be able to support Fiba Africa as much as I can
